Re: New Power BI Class Lists Report Available in ROSI Express

Dear ROSI and ROSI Express Users,

Enterprise Applications & Solutions Integration (EASI) is pleased to announce that a new Class Lists report

is available on the ROSI Express reports page. We have consolidated multiple specialized class list reports, currently available in ROSI Express, into one customizable Power BI report. This report also includes subject POSt enrolment information, which is not currently available in existing reports.

This new Class Lists report is available in Power BI but is accessible from a link on the ROSI Express (RXP) reports page, which will redirect to Power BI to run the report. Access to the report is inherited from RXP and anyone with access to the reports screen in RXP will have access to this new report. For information on how to run and use this new report, please read the support documentation.

We are planning a Connect +Learn session on reporting in mid to late April, which will include instruction on the basics of using these Power BI reports as well as features of ROSI reports.

Thank you to the Business Process Representatives who provided initial feedback on this report! For anyone who uses the report and would like to provide feedback, please provide feedback through this form. Your input will be helpful as we consider new reports and what additional support documentation may be required.

The new report will appear along with the older reports for the time being, and we will notify users when we plan to retire the older Class List reports.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

Sincerely,
Student Information Systems

Re:  New Teams client updated rollout schedule

Dear colleagues,

We are writing to remind you that as of early April 2024: New Teams as the default client app
Beginning early April 2024, new Teams will become the default app for all Teams users. The toggle will still be available to users to switch back to classic Teams if needed.

New Teams Updated schedule:

Mid-May 2024: Teams Classic toggle switch removal
All remaining classic Teams users will be updated to new Teams and the toggle switch will be removed. If we are unable to update to new Teams, users will be allowed to remain on classic Teams until classic Teams is no longer available.

Mid-May 2024: Teams Classic toggle switch will be removed
Microsoft will not block classic Teams users who do not meet the new Teams prerequisites or who experience other install failures until July 1, 2024, at the earliest to provide more time to address these issues for end-users and avoid disruption in the service.

More information:

If you experience any issues with the New Teams, please refer to New Teams Client Troubleshooting article or submit a ticket at uoft.me/ESC.

Sincerely, Enterprise Applications and Solutions Integration

Re: SIS is launching live ‘Ask Us’ sessions on March 21 at 11 a.m.

Dear SIS users,

Student Information Systems (SIS) is delighted to offer its first ‘Ask Us’ session on Thursday, March 21 at 11 a.m. Submit your questions now using the SIS Ask Us Sessions form. Ask Us sessions are for administrative staff and faculty users of applications and processes managed by SIS. These sessions are designed to address ‘How To’ questions related to system usage and functionality.

If you have specific questions about a process (e.g., course set-up), or even if you feel some apprehension about utilizing specialized functions of our systems (e.g., effectively setting up ROSI downloads for reporting), please fill out the SIS Ask Us Sessions form. We will choose questions for the session with priority given based on the potential number of users of the function and relevance to the academic cycle. If we aren’t able to answer the question in the session we will still try to get back to you by email or the Enterprise Service Centre.

Please be specific in your request. Provide details and examples when possible, but do NOT include confidential or personally identifiable information (PII) from any supporting documentation (e.g., samples, screenshots, etc.).

Please note: While the ‘Ask Us’ sessions are ideal for general inquiries and guidance, specific records issues and bugs should be directed to the ESC (Enterprise Service Centre) for resolution.

Thank you for your engagement, we look forward to assisting you!

Sincerely,
Student Information Systems
