Curriculum Management

A cloud-based solution which will act as an inventory for courses and programs at the University of Toronto.

Curriculum Management (CM) is a cloud-based solution which will act as an inventory for courses and programs at the University of Toronto. It can be used on its own and may act as an information source for other applications and processes (e.g. divisional Calendar production). CM includes a workflow tool which can be used to manage the proposal, submission and governance review process reducing reliance on paper and soft copy forms which should in turn reduce processing times. The University, with other institutions, is participating as a partner with KualiCo to build the application.

Part of the CM project will include the roll-out of the Curriculum Publisher (CP) tool to the University. CP will provide divisions with an easy to use tool to manage and publish web based curricular materials and most importantly, provide students with accessible, searchable content. The tool is already available to FAS & UTSC.

Current Objectives

  • Pilot new U of T Calendar site with Medicine (MD Handbook)
  • Complete roll-out of CM for FAS and UTSC, convert from pilot for Architecture to implementation.  Extend to other divisions with attention to remaining OLC divisions.
  • Roll-out CP to FAS, UTSC
  • Integrate CM with Course Finder.
