Exam Invigilator Application

A tri-campus application that will allow for student identification during exams using a tablet device.

Identity management and attendance tracking for examinations at UofT is a paper-based process in most programs and colleges.

NGSIS has developed a tri-campus application that will allow for student identification during exams using a T-card swipe in at a portable tablet device. The application takes advantage of the central T-Card photo database and makes it possible to match a students face with their student card and their image as it appears in the database.  The process is faster than a paper sign in and also improves the ability to audit irregularities during the exam process.

Our team seeks to build on the success of a pilot completed at UTSC during December 2016 with more enhancements to the application.

Current Objectives

  • Obtain feedback from UTSC and assess next delivery based on feedback received.
  • Meet with St. George A&S to determine if the current release will address their needs.
